Enrique Pedraza Botero (MFA ‘23) co-leads Documentary Film Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center
The Shorenstein Center at Harvard Kennedy School has announced that Enrique Pedraza Botero (MFA ‘23) has been appointed to co-lead the Documentary Film Initiative. In his role as Manager of Special Projects, Pedraza Botero will work to support new research, analysis, innovation, and provocation around core issues facing the documentary field.
Enrique Pedraza Botero is a visual artist, filmmaker, and media executive from Bogotá, Colombia, with over twelve years of experience in the entertainment industry and the nonprofit sector. His first-year Stanford film Alpha Kings premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2023 and was acquired for distribution by The New Yorker.
The Documentary Film Initiative at the Shorenstein Center aims to foster a deeper understanding of the documentary film medium and its impact on society. By supporting filmmakers and promoting innovative storytelling, the initiative seeks to address critical issues and contribute to the broader discourse on media and public policy.
